Artwork Questions:

Q. Can I see a proof of my product printed with my artwork before production begins?
A. Our standard procedure is to email you a PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) of your bag, sized to scale, for your approval before we begin production.

Q. How can I provide the ‘ camera ready’ artwork?

A. We only accept artwork in a digital format. For a 1 color print, a PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) will work very well. High resolution TIFs may also be acceptable. We do not recommend sending us any text as a TIF.

For multiple color artwork, the best formats are Adobe Illustrator files, (.AI), EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) or Corel DRAW version 11 or lower, (.CDR). All fonts must be converted to curves, paths or outlines.

Pixilated files such as TIF, BMP, JPG, GIF and PNG are not appropriate for print jobs that require printing in spot colors because they can't separate properly for printing.

Q. What if I can only provide a JPG or GIF?

A. You can email us the file and we can check it out for you. If it's not usable, we can give an estimate on what it would take to recreate the artwork in a suitable program such as Adobe Illustrator.

Q. Can I mail you the computer file?
A. Yes. If you want to send us a digital file, you can send it on a CD-R or a 3.5" floppy. Please mail a color copy of the artwork with your digital files. Please don't send us your only copy of the computer file. Make yourself a copy before sending us your disk. Mail to:

Q. Can I email you the artwork?
A. Yes. Please don't email files larger than 5 megabytes. If your files are larger than 5 megabytes, please compress them with WinZip or StuffIt before you send them. Email your files to For files larger than 5 megabytes, contact us for our ftp site.

Q. Do you have templates available for your products that I can download?

A. Templates are available for most bags. If you're preparing artwork where the ink will need to bleed off the edge of the bag, please provide .125" bleeds in your file. Contact us to discuss your printing requirements and templates.

Q. What file format are the templates?

A. The templates are Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files. In some cases the templates have been compressed with either WinZip or StuffIt.

Q. What if I don't have camera-ready art as a computer file?

A. Mechanical art recreation is available at a cost of $85.00 per hour. We will gladly provide a cost estimate for your project. In addition, we have an exceptional free lance design group that can prepare custom artwork just for you. Custom design is billed at $100/hour.

For simple typeset, if we own the font, typesetting is free. You can provide this information when you submit your order.
